Professor Zoe Jordan winner of the 2019 Public Sector & Academia category in the Telstra South Australian Business Awards
Congratulations to Prof. Zoe Jordan named as the winner for the 2019 Telstra Public Sector & Academia Award South Australia.
The Telstra Business Women’s Awards recognise the most outstanding women who are disrupting the way we do business. The awards have helped progress their careers and business ideas, and built a support network of like-minded people to learn, grow and connect with.
‘Knowledge drives progress in healthcare, improves clinical decision making and ultimately leads to improved health outcomes.’
With more than two million academic and scientific research papers published every year, it takes decades for the results of research to make it into policy and practice. Zoe Jordan leads The Joanna Briggs Institute to help synthesise research and make it easy to implement into health systems internationally.
The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) is an independent, international, not-for-profit research and development organisation based in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Adelaide, Australia. At its core, JBI is concerned with improving health outcomes in communities globally by promoting and supporting the use of the best available evidence to inform decisions made at the point of care. This work begins and ends with the needs of those working in and using healthcare services.
