Congratulations to Paley Ho, founder of Unios on receiving a 2019 Business News 40under40 awards.
The 40under40 program is designed to recognise and celebrate Western Australia’s 40 leading business entrepreneurs under the age of 40. It recognises not only personal determination and commercial drive, but also the philanthropic pursuits that balance these young individuals’ professional achievements.
Paley Ho had a vision to build a nationally recognised lighting brand from Perth. This intent was met with challenge, as the industry is traditionally dominated by a handful of players and is more centralised in New South Wales and Victoria. Paley wanted to disrupt the industry with design, performance and value. Unios’ mantra stems from this – a brand that sits at an intersection between the top and bottom tiers, a universal light.
With strong brand recognition in Australia and a growing foothold in New Zealand and Indonesia, Paley aims to expand further into South East Asia and into Europe in the next few years by designing innovative products that the world hasn’t yet seen. The award recognises Paley’s passion and vision to build a nationally recognised lighting brand.
