Shane McNulty is an experienced multi-disciplined leader. He has worked in industries across sporting, distribution, finance and manufacturing for both local and global businesses. In these businesses his roles have included CEO, NED, GM Sales and Marketing, Financial Controller and also a Founder.
In his career he has successfully turned around three businesses, relocated manufacturing plants to Asia, worked with Private Equity funds to buy into and successfully exit a business and introduced complex transformation programs that have dramatically improved businesses' financial performance in four industries.
The turnarounds have involved taking businesses that had usually acquired different business in the past, but left them as stand-alone units and integrating them all into one organisation. This involved creating new culture & values frameworks, implementing new ERP systems & processes that drove transformation and bringing in new leadership teams. These businesses had turnovers of over $150m with operations across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.
He has also been the Founder of two start-up consumer distribution businesses in Australia and New Zealand that were successfully established and then sold to larger companies as part of the exit strategy for the shareholders.
His strengths lie in pulling together the complex threads that exist in today’s business world into cohesive and executable strategies built around ensuring culture and people are aligned with the business strategy. This is achieved by understanding all the key drivers for the business and by being a curious questioner and good listener.
