TEC Chair: Small Business Program
With an extensive career at the strategic level, Paul Ronis has some 20 years experience as a ‘hands-on manager’, running profit centres throughout most of Australia. His experienced in running sales forces in conjunction with operational areas such as installation and service, as well as the associated administration functions. Paul has run businesses up to $70 million turnover at regional, state and national levels.
Initially Paul spent 7 years in the telecommunications industry generating network forecasts for NT, SA, NSW and the ACT. With industry deregulation he became a product manager responsible for launching, marketing and withdrawing numerous products.
Joining Chubb Electronic Security (CES) in 1986-87 as a Product Manager, then as Marketing Manager assumed higher levels of responsibility in generating functional specifications, technical specifications, beta testing, marketing mix and launches. In 1989 Paul moved to Melbourne as Victorian State Manager of CES. During this posting, he was on the Victorian Strategic TQM (Total Quality Management) Committee and helped Victoria CES win several awards by engineering – a dramatic turnaround in profitability. In 1993 he moved back to Sydney as NSW State Manager of CES.
In 1996 Paul joined James Hardie Building Services division as NSW State Manager – Building Automation. Later career moves saw him become National Manager then GM within Williams Plc, a UK conglomerate.
Since joining Periscope in 2002, Paul have provided consultancy services to those companies subjected to either the rigors of being sold, merged or seeking to grow by acquisition.

Trying to explain TEC is tough however as succinctly as possible I would describe it as a quasi- board of like minded people who have a non-invested objective peer advisory perspective chaired by an experienced consultant/coach.
