Biography

Keith Brooks immigrated to Australia from the UK where he had worked as a salesman in the food industry and as a professional singer in Europe.  He joined Upjohn, a major pharmaceutical company in 1973 in Perth WA, and after working in many states,  moved to Sydney and was appointed National Sales Manager.

In 1985 Keith was relocated to Indonesia to fulfil the role of Marketing Manager, followed by a position of Group Manager in South Africa. With the fall of the Communist regimes in the early 1990s, he was asked to assist in establishing operations in Eastern Europe and later became Vice President Marketing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and was stationed in Brussels, Belgium. Line responsibilities followed for 14 countries in addition to the regional responsibilities with a budget over US$1 billion. Following a merger, Keith was appointed President and CEO of Pharmacia and Upjohn in Hong Kong, overseeing the company consolidation and the change of sovereignty with responsibility for China and regional South East Asia.
