Former chartered accountant, and senior partner in global accounting and consulting practice Deloitte, Chad Wilkie bring over 30 years' of professional and practical business experience to the role as a TEC Chair.
As a senior partner in a professional services firm, responsible for large teams of highly qualified and capable professionals, Chad developed wide practical experience in coaching and mentoring individuals to realise their potential.
Chad forged a career as a professional advisor to large corporates, and as Managing Partner for the tax consulting practice of Deloitte in New Zealand, and Asia Pacific. From 1990 he was a member of the National Management Committee for Deloitte in New Zealand, and from 1996 had additional roles as senior partner responsible for business solutions, information management solutions, and a precursor to Deloitte Private. From 1999 to 2002 he was responsible for leading Deloitte Ventures, with a special focus on technology ventures.
In June 2002, Chad co-founded Ignition Partner Limited to advise companies on strategies for growth from innovation, with an emphasis on strategy, capability and commitment. In 2005 he was appointed as an Expert Reviewer for the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology and has held several advisory board and directorship roles with emerging companies.
Chad’s current activities include that of Chair of TECR806, Chair of large IT reseller PB Technologies, and Trustee and Chair of Matuku Link, a wetland restoration project at Bethell’s Beach on Auckland’s west coast. His also a judge for the Westpac Business Awards.
