I have a wide-ranging of experience at a senior management level from my time at National Bank of New Zealand (now ANZ National Bank Ltd) both in New Zealand and overseas.
I was a representative in Japan for the National Bank and Deputy Manager of the Lloyds Bank International Tokyo Office for 4 years. I held the position of manager of the main Auckland office of the bank and 2 years later established the Auckland Area office with overall responsibility for the bank’s business in the region. This included responsibility for a staff of 300, sales and credit risk.
More recently I was involved with the establishment of National Bank Private Banking, a unit dedicated to giving investment advice and on-going management of clients’ investment portfolios.
My wife and I, ran a very successful ladies wear business in St Heliers for over 11 years. I was Chair of the St Heliers Business Association and oversaw the successful implementation of the Mainstreet program.
I currently act as an adviser to a number of firms particularly in the area of marketing, leadership, change management and strategic planning.
