As a TEC Chair, my primary purpose is to assist senior business leaders, to ‘be better’ – to build better businesses, deliver better results and realise their full potential. This is in perfect alignment with my other activities as a B2B strategy and implementation consultant, as an accredited executive coach and as a mentor and Board member.
I have a sincere belief that leaders are developed and that at all levels in an organisation they are vital to building the culture and climate that enable sound strategic decisions to be made and then well executed, so that it results in superior performance. The TEC format facilitates that development. I feel privileged to be able to play my part in your professional development journey by selecting excellent speakers, and through creation of a safe and encouraging learning environment, generating meaningful conversations as a group and in our one-on-one sessions.
I have extensive experience as a senior business leader and Chief Executive Officer in creating, delivering and capturing value for customers, employees and shareholders in complex businesses, in different geographies and industries, and at different stages of the business and product life cycle.
My executive business experience spans more than 30 years, leading organisations through their strategic business agendas, be that protecting or growing revenues, improving business profitability and returns, or improving organisational health. My career latterly included 14 years with Brambles, where I held senior executive leadership positions with both the Recall information management and CHEP supply chain logistics brands, as well as head office roles dealing with both Corporate and Business Unit strategy. Besides this, I’ve gained experience in a series of strategy, marketing and general management roles in the chemical, electronics, building products and gaming industries, and have lived in the UK, Australia, USA and Germany. I’ve led organisations and business units with revenues of up to A$ 500 million, employing up to 2,000 people in distributed operations and in multiple countries.
I will bring this wealth of knowledge, skill and experience to all our interactions, particularly in the areas of business strategy formulation and execution, protecting and growing revenues, international operations, people development, succession planning and change management; all to help you to build better businesses, deliver better results and realise your full potential.
Education and Associations:
Born in the UK, I obtained a Bachelor of Science honours degree in Chemistry and German, and have attended both the London Business School and INSEAD. I am accredited as a coach with the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership, and am a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and accredited as a Family & Private Company Director with Amplifi.
