I believe that when leaders come together through dialogue and shared learning, new possibilities are created that ignite growth and opportunity – not just for their businesses, but for their employees, their stakeholders, their families and the communities they serve.  It’s the ripple effect of success, and my role as Chair is to enable that with my members. ”

I qualified in the UK as a Chartered Accountant before moving to Australia in 1997 where I joined KPMG and made partner.  During my 20 year professional services career my clients ranged from small and private family business, listed companies and multinational groups; from garden gnome manufacturing to offshore oil and gas and many sectors in between.

In 2005, I joined the board of SHINE for Kids as Chair.  SHINE for Kids supports and nurtures children who experience having a parent in prison.  I also joined the Board of the Sydney Community Foundation which promotes philanthropy within the Sydney community.

I retired as a partner in 2009 to focus on furthering my board career.  I also became involved in leadership development and professional mentoring working with leaders of diverse organisations.  I also participated in the Sydney Leadership Program.  In 2011, the opportunity arose to co-found an insurance business, Imalia, with a business partner and we became an outsource insurance provider to the childcare industry.  I was also approached by Bidvest to chair the Audit Committee of the Asia-Pacific Foodservice Business, a role that has since become a global one, oversighting over 25 food service businesses across five continents.

In addition to SHINE for Kids, I chair the War Widows Guild Australia (NSW) Ltd, the Sydney Women’s Fund Advisory Council and am a director of Choice.


What unites my diverse professional experience is my accounting and tax expertise. Other relevant experience includes strategy, innovation, mergers and acquisitions, directorship and audit committees, insurance, professional mentoring, philanthropy and not-for-profit organisations

A CEOs biggest challenge:

The isolation, few people understand what makes you tick and it’s easy to feel jaded/out of fresh thinking when you are trying to manage many business variables in a dynamic ever-changing world.
