Our Members Outperform

While TEC membership can improve your business skill set and leadership capabilities, it can also make a real world, bottom-line difference to your business.

The global financial crisis (GFC) tested even the best business executives, but TEC members came through.

TEC members got results.

In August 2010, we surveyed our members to compare the performance of their companies over the period of the GFC with that of other Australian companies.

The research found the companies of TEC members significantly outperformed the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) survey cohort during the 2008/09 financial year.

During 2008/09, the company revenue of the average SME member of TEC increased 7.62%, whereas the national cohort declined 0.84%.

While many companies were forced to cut staff during the GFC period, on average, TEC member firms increased employment by 3.30% while their national peers reduced staff by 3.01%*.
